Client

HM Collection is a Dubai, UAE-based cosmetic and fragrance brand that is dedicated to showcasing its products and brand image in the market. The company is seeking to build a comprehensive website to showcase its premium quality products and cater to the local market.

Requirements

The client for the HM Collection website project has specific requirements for their online platform. They are looking for an informational website that not only showcases their cosmetic and perfume products but also allows visitors to place orders through the site. To meet this requirement, the website will be built using the WooCommerce shopping system.

One of the key considerations for the client was their preferred payment method, as they have chosen to implement the cash-on-delivery option instead of any other online payment options. When a customer places an order, they will receive an automatically generated order confirmation/invoice via email, which serves as a record of their transaction.

In addition to the shopping functionality, the website will feature a product gallery to display the range of cosmetics and perfumes offered by the brand. To enhance the user experience, the client has requested the inclusion of an easy communication system, such as WhatsApp or Instagram, to allow visitors to connect with the brand and ask questions.

Result

The development and implementation of the HM Collection website was a successful project, with the final product being delivered to the client on time. Throughout the project, we worked closely with the client to understand their specific needs and requirements. I put in significant effort to ensure that the website not only met but exceeded their expectations.

Design process

Designing a website for HM Collection, was a challenging and exciting project for us. Our goal was to create a website that not only represents the brand and showcases their products but also allows visitors to place an order easily.
In order to achieve this, we followed a systematic design process that ensured all the requirements of the client were met.

  • Research and Analysis: This step involves gathering information about the client, their target audience, and their brand, as well as researching the competition and industry trends.
  • UX/UI Design: The next step is to create a user-centered design that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional. This involves creating wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to define the overall structure of the website.
  • Visual Design: This step involves creating the visual design of the website, including the color scheme, typography, and imagery. The visual design should be aligned with the client’s brand identity and reflect the aesthetic and feel that they want to convey.
  • Design Implementation: Once the visual design is finalized, it’s time to implement it on the website. This involves using the chosen design tools, such as Elementor or Figma, to create the website templates, components, and pages.
  • Development: The next step is to integrate the design with the WordPress platform and make the website functional by implementing necessary plugins, such as WooCommerce. This also involves coding custom elements, ensuring responsive design, and optimizing the website for performance.
  • Testing and Deployment: The final step is to thoroughly test the website, fixing any bugs or issues, and deploying it to a live server.

Final Design

The final project involved the handover of the completed website to the client. As part of the handover process, I ensured that the client was fully satisfied with the final outcome and that all necessary documentation was provided.
